We offer a new special configuration of the Old Testament and New Testament with references as 2 book volumes.
We purchase a new bible from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and separate the book into two volumes. The first volume as the Old Testament and the second volume as the New Testament with the bible references (topical guide, bible dictionary, bible chronology, harmony of the gospels, Joseph Smith translation, bible maps, and bible photographs). The references can not be removed from this two book configuration due to the New Testament alone being too thin to bind as a book.
When working with a Bible that has thumb-index tabs, once the book is split there will be some empty tab cuts at the end of the books (see picture). If you don’t think you’ll like how the tabs look, we recommend selecting the regular size with no thumb-index tabs.
Dimensions of the Old Testament (without references):
Regular size - about 5″w x 7″h x 1" thick.
Large size - about 6"x x 9"h x 1" thick.
Dimensions of the New Testament with references:
Regular size - about 5″w x 7″h x 7/8" thick.
Large size - about 6"x x 9"h x 7/8" thick.
We use plush genuine leather (cow, lamb, or pig – leather type is color dependent) for each set of Custom LDS Scriptures. The Old Testament special configuration come standard with two ribbon bookmarks.
